Junior Web Developer

We're looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team and help us create amazing websites for our clients. Experience with Wordpress, Elementor, and CSS is essential, knowledge of Javascript and Git is a plus. Are you ready to join us?

SuperWebPros is U.S.-based web development company seeking a highly motivated Junior Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience with WordPress and a basic understanding of plugin management, theme manipulation, Elementor, and CSS.

Knowledge of Javascript, Javascript frameworks, and Git is a plus.

As a Junior Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining websites for our clients, as well as working on internal projects.

What We’re about (And Who We’re Looking For)

Our Core Values drive our culture and our approach to work. We really value each other and our customers. We spend a good chunk of our lives working and believe that part of life should be good.

Our Core Values are:

Super

A Pro aims to excel in everything we do. That doesn’t mean we do things perfectly, only that we try our best, continually seek to learn how to do our jobs better, and make sure we’ve always got quality in mind.

Helpful

We help our customers and each other. We ask for help when we need it and give it when we asked. Yet, we also respect our internal and external boundaries, in order to protect quality, productivity, and sustainability.

Agile

Technology changes quickly. Customers change their mind. Things break. We learn new things. In order to keep up, we can’t have a ‘not my job’ mentality. Instead, we adopt a ‘what do I need to learn?’ attitude that keeps us nimble and makes us better.

Responsive

Most of our customers complain that they ‘have to wait forever’ on their web guy. It’s frustrating for them because they ‘aren’t techy’ and are often intimidated by technology. In order to put customers at ease, we work quickly, communicate expectations even more quickly, and aim to complete today’s work, today.

Still, we cannot sacrifice quality and must protect our customers from each other. Our service levels of 3-5 days for new blueprints, 2-4 days for revisions, and limits on how much work we have in process at any given time allow us to communicate clear expectations to customers while giving us breathing room to do a good job.

Proactive

We create better outcomes for customers – and make each other better – when we seek opportunities to improve. These improvements may be small or large, personal, or customer or team related. While not all improvements may be adopted right away, we have confidence that by learning how to provide more value with the time, energy, and resources we have available, we can become the go-to team that every small business in America relies upon to handle their web work.

We strive to create a positive work environment that encourages learning and development. We pay for courses to facilitate it, and help people grow into domains they care about.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress
  • Testing of website functionality, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and implement new website features
  • Install and manage custom WordPress themes, plugins, and other back-end systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies

Qualifications:

We care more about experience than education. And curiosity than certifications. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience with WordPress and basic understanding of CSS
  • Knowledge of javascript is a plus
  • A passion for coding and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for learning and growing in the field

Growth Paths

Agility and Proactivity are two of our Core Values. This is not a good place to stagnate. So, if that’s your vibe, you probably like us very much.

So, what does growth look like?

At some level, it’s up to you.

But we’re always looking to stay ahead of the curve. Love front end development? Cool. Take some time to learn it and get better. Back end? Cool. Machine Learning? Super Cool. We often buy courses in order to grow in the areas that interest us and make an effort to create space for personal projects of interest.

Tinkering is encouraged.

Language:

We speak and write in English internally and with clients. So, you should be conversational in English.

Location:

Remote, with hours geared towards the GMT-5 (US Eastern) time zone (9-5)

Pay:

Competitive, with room for growth

If you share our core values and are passionate about web development, we would love to hear from you.
