How to Grant access to a WordPress Site

Step 1: Go To Your WordPress Login Page

Typically, this will be something like www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin or www.yourwebsite.com/wp-login.

In some cases, your login page might look a little different (have your color scheme, logo, etc.). However, most WordPress websites will have this basic structure. Stuck? Schedule a call and we’ll be happy to help you out!

Step 2: Click “Users”

Along the left of your WordPress dashboard, you’ll see the word “Users.” Click it.

If you don’t see “Users” on the left, your previous developer might have restricted your access. If that’s the case, you’ll need to request administrator access to proceed.

Step 3: Add Superwebpros as a User

The last thing you need to do is add us as a user.

Fill out the form with the credentials as pictured below. The most important fields are:

Username: superwebpros
Email: supersupport@superwebpros.com
Role: Administrator

Make sure the box to send us the email is checked. In general, creating users with different levels of access is much more secure than sharing your password/login information with us. You can read more about website security here.
